Redway Beach Study / Part 1
The next two posts are "studies" of the popular local swimming hole. I call them studies , part I and II, even though they are full size paintings, because they are preparatory paintings for a very long panoramic view of this dramatic location.
The Eel River runs along a sheer vertical cliff of geologically interesting stratified rock. Vegetation grows in the crevices and the river flows below, bringing much pleasure to locals young and old.
