Mendocino Headlands
This is a large painting made from a small study. I am interested in developing the concept of "reading" an image, a parallel to the way your eyes scan a landscape from one end to another, noticing the variation in textures, focus and detail. Here the subject is the row of buildings that rim the thick, grassy headlands in Mendocino.
