This is the second watercolor of the old ranch at the Pt Reyes National Seashore, painted on the plastic surface called Yupo, This smooth surface completely determines the paint application and it is barely controllable. It is an exciting process and the result is fantastical rather than the usual painterly approach which is more conventional and reportorial.
It looks like I must have been drinking lots of champagne while I was painting this, but I assure you it was a slow and deliberative process !
