For years I have tried to grow Meyer lemons without a greenhouse; in my area this enterprise requires large amounts of optimism, perseverance and a little magic. So to that end, I set up this "altar" to the Meyer Lemon gods - Does anyone know the appropriate incantations I should chant?

No, but I know they have groves of meyer lemon trees along the Amalfi coast in Italy. Needless to say, they seem to flourish with less care than you've described.
I love the fluid style of your watercolors. The magnolia bud painting of a prior post is just wonderful.
