Briceland View
We have a family place in the hills of Humboldt County. It's currently a bit ramshackle, but beloved with a rich history and stunning in every season. This was painted yesterday, my granddaughter (5 years old) commenting while I was working. The weather turned cold and windy so I finished it in my studio today.

Mattole River Valley
This watercolor was painted at the western edge of the continent, where the Mattole River meets the Pacific Ocean. I am standing on a high meadow looking back up the river valley at the rich contours of hills, meadows and river bars. One of the loveliest views on our planet .
7" x 10" $150.
