Lilacs in Bloom

As I prepare for a show in September, I have been looking at work I haven't yet framed, and I came across this watercolor of the lilac shrubs in my yard , I worked on it a bit ( of course ) and now I'll show it !

Briceland Oak

This old oak tree is the guardian spirit of our home in the hills. I have painted it many times , hoping to catch it's elusive magnificence , and I will continue trying !

Canada Geese II

The deep shadows on the water of Alpine Lake attracts the Canada Geese as well as people.

Sun and Shade

This hydrangea shrub is a favorite subject for me to paint - the colors and textures are irresistible. This version is painted on Yupo.

Geese

This lake is home for a large group (flock) of Canada Geese - adults and chicks. They get to cruise these lovely forested waters in the foothills of the Sierras.

Alpine Lake

After a rainstorm at Alpine Lake in the Sierras , the sky cleared to a brilliant blue with huge white billowing clouds racing along.
